During the ordeal, my new, self-hosted forum got attacked by spam mail. \u00a0As a result, I believe my website got hacked.<\/p>\n<p>In the end, I was able to reclaim what is rightfully mine. \u00a0There were a few casualties, however.<\/p>\n<p>I had to delete some FTP accounts. \u00a0I had to delete the support email account. \u00a0I had to delete the entire blog portion of the site, and restore a backup from September 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Whilst going through all of that, I found out my old forum was about to be lost. \u00a0Luckily, at the last minute, I was able to save it, as well. \u00a0Forumer.com was acquired by Yuku.com so I had to migrate the forum over to the new site. I think if I had missed it by one more day, I would have lost it. \u00a0It was a close call.<\/p>\n<p>This is what I get for neglecting my website over the winter.<\/p>\n<p>HayMan Quarterly will continue to be my hobby website. \u00a0I would like to commercialize and make a little money from the site, but I haven&#8217;t figured out how quite yet. \u00a0Still trying to find my niche. \u00a0So in the mean time, see you on facebook.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;HayManMarc<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I started a new forum a while back when I thought I could host a game making competition. \u00a0The competition proved to be a bit too much for me, and I sandbagged the idea.
