Here’s a quick announcement.
HayMan Quarterly has decided to create and host a GameMaker game development competition. I hope to have this ready to launch before the beginning of the year, but I’m afraid I may be cutting it a bit close. I still need to work on getting the site ready to handle the competitions smoothly.

I’ve managed to incorporate the forum right onto the site (view page), but I’m unable to integrate the login with wordpress. So there will be a double-register process. Sorry for the slight inconvenience with this. I tried. 🙂
I still need to set up the forum with topics and user permissions and such, so please don’t sign up (register) for the forum just yet.
You CAN register a username for the HMQ site, however, and I’ll be looking for a test subject (who has Skype), to help me with site testing user pages and so on.
I’ll be looking for judges soon. I’ll need about 6 or so lined up for the first few competitions. There will be a forum topic for this. I also need to iron out the specifics for the judging of entries.
The rules are pretty much in place, but I’m still willing to have discussions about them. So, there may be some slight changes made. Slight.
It seems I’m forgetting something, but that’s most of what’s going on at the moment.
