The Surreptitious Dr. Swiss

And yet another WIP game to add to my list of WIP games. 🙂  I call it “The Surreptitious Dr. Swiss.”. I’ll be building a feature page for it soon.

I think I might actually get this one finished, as long as I can keep plugging away at it. I’ve got some great ideas, including incorporating Muvizu into the project.

I’ll be writing more about it soon.

GMC Jam #6

I’m gearing up to enter the next 72 hour game development competition with the GMC forum community.  This means Muvizu will be taking yet another back seat. Everything got a back seat a couple weeks ago since I went back to work.  Kinda nice cuz my brain sorta went to mush.

Look for a new game page coming soon, if there’s anything left of my mind. 😛

…so we were working on UFO Command and… SQUIRREL!

Well, leave it to me to get sidetracked on a huge tangent.

First I was sidetracked by a second game (FayKade).  Then I had this bright idea that I could do some in-game cut scenes using a different game I bought some years ago.  This started my stint with an old game called ‘ The Movies’.  While trying to customize that game, I ran across other machinima creating software – iClone, MovieStorm, and Muvizu. And now, here I am, with yet two more unfinished games.

Being the big fan of cartooning and free stuff that I am, Muvizu was the one that I checked out and experimented with.  To make this story short, I got stuck.

However, not all is lost and I’m not crying “FAILURE” at myself just yet. I do have something to show for my absence.

My first Muvi.

The Project Vortex

More to come, unless I get… SQUIRREL!

Fast Games

Wow. It’s amazing what you can do when you dedicate and go for it. In just three days time (actually, a little more than two, since I started late), I darn near completed a silly little video game for an online forum competition.

The game is called “FayKade” (facade pronounced wrong) and takes place in the old west. I wasn’t able to finish it in time, so its a WIP (Work In Progress).

You can download and check it out so far at: http://haymanquarterly.com/downloads/facade.exe

I’ll write more and post some screenies later.
