“The Devil’s Railroad” is the name of my new project. It’s a video game that is played out atop a moving freight train, set in the 1930’s. See more on the development page HERE.
New game in the works.
Another game idea to add to my collection of unfinished games. I’m pretty well wrapped up in it, so there’s a good possibility this might be the first complete game. I’ll write more about it when I get to my desktop computer.
Spam and Hack Survival
I started a new forum a while back when I thought I could host a game making competition. The competition proved to be a bit too much for me, and I sandbagged the idea. During the ordeal, my new, self-hosted forum got attacked by spam mail. As a result, I believe my website got hacked.
In the end, I was able to reclaim what is rightfully mine. There were a few casualties, however.
I had to delete some FTP accounts. I had to delete the support email account. I had to delete the entire blog portion of the site, and restore a backup from September 2012.
Whilst going through all of that, I found out my old forum was about to be lost. Luckily, at the last minute, I was able to save it, as well. Forumer.com was acquired by Yuku.com so I had to migrate the forum over to the new site. I think if I had missed it by one more day, I would have lost it. It was a close call.
This is what I get for neglecting my website over the winter.
HayMan Quarterly will continue to be my hobby website. I would like to commercialize and make a little money from the site, but I haven’t figured out how quite yet. Still trying to find my niche. So in the mean time, see you on facebook.

Competition not working out
My efforts to put together the HMQ Competitions has fallen short. My apologies to any parties of interest.
I have pretty much come to the conclusion that this competition idea, albeit a good one if I do say so myself, is much to huge of an endeavor for me to pull off at this time. Perhaps in the future. There are just too many other things I prefer to put my time and effort into.
